Her storyline was that of a supporting cast member. She was raised as sisters with Laura. I found the following character description on some soap site:
"Through the years, Amy and Laura's sisterly bond remained firm. Amy loved her sister's family and was always there for Laura when times became difficult."
If it's true that through the years Amy & Laura's sisterly bond remained firm, why didn't they at least mention her passing away? You know kill the character because the actress died. They don't always do that, but in this case the character was minor and not even portrayed on the show anymore. They should have acknowledged her passing in some way; you know have Leslie make an appearance to tell Nicholas, Lucky and Lulu that she passed away.
Yes, General Hospital did a two minute stint at the end of the show displaying IN MEMORIAM. I agree that was nice. I just think it would have been more of a tribute to work it into the story line. Or did I miss the show that day? It is possible. I could have not been watching when it was announced. I hope that is the case. Otherwise, shame on you GH producers and writers.
